How to Make 5% Return on Your Investments (high return, low risk?)

You know what I love? The people that say “Hey I have all this money and I want a 20% return!” 🤣🤣 It doesn’t quite work that way. I did get a reader question that was a little more realistic, and that is what we are going to talk about today. So the reader question was: “Can you tell me if you have any investment for $20,000 where I can get a 5% or more return?” 5% is achievable. Can you make more than that? Of course you can. I am going to highlight 6 ways you can make a 5% or more return on your investment. ➡️1. Stock Market [2:29] - Over the long-term the market has averaged 10% or greater. ➡️2. Bonds, Bond ETFs, or Bond Mutual Funds [5:48] - You will have to chose either higher risk or a longer term (10 years or greater). ➡️3. Real Estate [8:26] - You can invest in real estate without having to manage properties. You can do this with REITs, Mutual Funds, etc., as well as crowdfunding platforms like Fundrise. ➡️4. Peer to Peer Lending [10:57] - This can also be done with crowdfunding platforms like Lending Club or Prosper. ➡️ 5. Annuity [13:20] - You have to be careful with this because there are so many options. You want to look at a fixed annuity. ➡️ 6. Investing into yourself or your business [14:45] - Some of the ways this could work include: buying new equipment for your business, hire someone that specializes in an area you are not great at, or invest in a course.
