In this video I will answer the following question about why I don’t use trailing stop-loss order or stop loss order in my positions or trading. In the day trading industry psychology is really important and no matter how good your strategy is - if you don’t have that you will struggle to become a successful trader. If you use stop-loss order you start to limit your options and you don’t pay attention to what the market is doing. In fact you start to focus on losing money instead of earning money. I don’t believe that they allow you to be dynamic in the market. It is really important to be able to adapt to what the market is doing as it is changing all the time. Not using trail stop-loss order you focus on earning money and not losing money. Although most traders lose money the goal is still to earn more than you lose. And focusing on losing money will shift the focus of your emotions on something negative and in turn make you more prone to lose. Trading is in fact a very emotional thing and no matter how good your strategy and how organized you are if you are not able to know and control your emotions it will be very hard for you to become a successful trader. This also means that during the process of learning to control your emotions you need to get to know them and to understand who you are as a person.
