What do you do when you're speaking and your friends won't listen to what you're saying? There's a line in the new testament that's relevant to that. Do not cast pearls before swine and what that means is if people aren't listening to you stop talking to them because if you stop talking to them and start watching them instead, they'll tell you what they're up to.
