If you feel as though any of this relates to your experiences, I encourage you to try to find a therapist or psychologist if you have health care that covers it. If you don't have health care, there are often clinics that take in patients on a sliding scale for payment, and that's a great place to start. You might also qualify for assistance in your state if you begin going to a therapist or other healthcare provider, although, with the current administration, I'm not sure that will continue. It's worth it to just go into social services to see what is available, if anything, as your mental health will affect how you move through life. As always, I'm rooting for you. Take control of your mental health and don't let anyone tell you it's silly or not real.
