Nothing of the sort happened, but the news has spread – making headlines around the world. The TR team have tried to have this article “corrected” by following their “CORRECTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS” process as listed on their site. “If we have published anything that is factually inaccurate, please contact the readers’ editor by email at starletters@dailystar.co.uk or at writing to Readers’ Editor, Daily Star at Reach PLC 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AP and, once verified, we will correct it here as soon as possible.” Between the team, hundreds of requests were made, with no response. My inbox is full of supporters who have also followed the listed process and emailed the editors at The Daily Star. Everyone was ignored.
